Happy Thursday! Today we are going to provide you with insight as to what items you should include in your wedding day checklist! This is information we provide to all of our clients in our online Resource Guide. We believe that your wedding day should be filled with everything you’ve always dreamed of, and we want to help lead your day to a relaxing enjoyable experience. Your only job on your wedding day is to enjoy the moments with your loved ones, family, and your best friends. Having everything in place will create a stress free environment and help the day move smoothly and seamlessly. Below are some helpful tips!
1.) Timeline: If you don’t have a wedding coordinator, we will be putting together a timeline for you based around the information you have given us. We will be sending you a copy, so be sure to look it over and make any adjustments needed. Be sure to leave three hours for formal photos, either before the ceremony if doing a first look,or after the ceremony. These include family images, bridal party images, as well as photos of the two of you! This also includes driving to different locations.
2.) Bring a hanger: Chances are we will be photographing your dress on a hanger. Be sure to bring one that will really compliment your dress instead of a plastic one. You can find a variety of customizable hangers through Etsy!
3.) Plan something to eat: We know you feel like you will be to nervous to eat, but trust me by the middle of the day you will want a snack. Plan something healthy and quick to eat before putting on your dress so you will feel refreshed and ready to walk down the isle. Make sure your groom & groomsmen have snacks on hand as well! We have seen too many fainting episodes ( and have made a trip or two to McDonalds) and this is something we heavily stress as you near your day! You will also find our camera bags full of healthy snacks to keep you going!
4.) The Bridal Party: Make sure to remind your bridal party members that it is most time efficient to bring an extra bag to toss belongings into after they are done getting ready. This helps make sure the transition from the ceremony location to the reception is time efficient.
And most importantly make sure you plan a getaway spot to share a moment alone just the two of you. Your wedding day is going to be great but will go by quickly so remember to make your own special moments as you’ll never forget them! This could be a first look, a moment immediately following your ceremony, when your planner reveals the reception space, or sneaking away for a few moments during golden hour. This is a great opportunity to have some time together and to have beautiful images captured with the golden setting sun! Below are images to provide you with inspiration!
